October 27 - Gold Fish

Haze asked me if I would play "Gold Fish" with him.  Our version of Gold Fish is: we find about seven matches and then mix them up and turn them over & try to find a match (AKA Memory).  It's Haze's favorite way to play.  Today, I just sat & watched him.  Watched him gloat over winning.  Watched him organize his cards.  Watched him tell me how many matches he had.  Watched his face fill with glee when he found another one.  It was a pretty great game of Gold Fish.

Tonight, we went to the ward Halloween party!  First we ate some homemade donuts.  Because that was the most important game there.  Because...donuts.

Andlie, Haze, & Nora had so much fun playing lots of games!  There was Donut on a String, Fishing for Prizes, Spider Web Toss, Monster Mash, a Cupcake walk, and a Haunted House!

While the big kids went with Daddy through the haunted house, me & Nora tried our hand at the Cupcake Walk.

After the party, we came home and played our usual game of "sit on Dad like he's a jungle gym."
