June 29 - Swimming Lessons Begin

Today was the first day of swimming lessons!  Andlie & Haze could not wait to get there.  They sat & watched the clock for several minutes and then Andlie finally said, "Mom, we need a new clock that goes faster.  Ours goes too slow."

When the time finally arrived, they were so excited!

And they both did so well!  Last year, Haze hated every single second of swimming lessons, so I was kind of nervous this year.  But he did great!  Didn't keep his eye on me like a hawk.  Went out in the water with his teacher.  And most importantly, SMILED while he was doing it all!  Andlie is a swimming lessons pro and did just what was asked and had so much fun!

Nora made her own fun on the sidelines with Momma.

Andlie had a play date with Violet at our house today!  They had fun playing in the pool, eating popsicles, coloring, and riding bikes!  When Violet left, she went to Clara's house.  Clara has a dog and two cats.  Andlie came home half hour later sneezing with watery eyes.  We washed her hands and I gave her some Benadryl.  Thirty minutes later.....

Tonight we went to our first baseball game of the Summer!  We stayed until 10:00!  We love Summer baseballs games and we can't wait to go again!

I think Andlie's day tuckered her out.  We loved how she used the caterpillar stuffed animal as neck support.  That girl is resourceful.

June 28 - 4th of July Sunday

I got a cute picture of Andlie helping with singing time today at Primary.  She's getting so big!  And more beautiful every day.

Andlie & Hazey are the cutest friends.  Ever.  They sure know how to annoy each other, but they also know how to love unconditionally.  I hope they're BFFs forever.

After church we had a quick photo sesh in our 4th of July church outfits!

I wore red & blue too.  (I love my new skirt.)

Then we changed out of our church clothes and in to popsicle-eating clothes.

During dinner, Nora showcased her many faces.
Happy:

Annoyed/Mad: (Daddy told her not to throw her food on the floor...)

Silly: (She does this two-handed point close by her nose when she is excited about what she's seeing.  In this case, it was Daddy's happy face.)

After dinner we had one more fudge-sicle.  Haze loves those things.  And his face was proving it tonight.  It's hard to see in this picture, but his face was covered in chocolate.  Just the way it should be in the Summer.

June 27 - Hot Saturday

This morning, we were treated to a special magic show by "Pink Glitter"!  It was a dazzling show!  It was so fun to see Andlie's Pink Glitter's proud, happy face.

Next, Andlie & Haze decided to catch themselves rather than the bugs outside.  They're a pretty good catch.

Then we went outside to eat popsicles and play in the pool.  Nothing better than a Saturday morning in jammies playing outside in the pool with diaper bum.

Then we went to Seven Peaks!  (That's four times in one week!) After that we came home and played outside in our pool some more!  It was a hot, hot, hot day and we had to be in the water to stay cool.  I brought out a "Summer snack tray" and Andlie & Haze thought it was maybe the neatest thing I've ever done as a Mom.

After dinner, Paul, Jenny, and Graeson came back (they went to a family reunion today) and then we all went on a walk!  What a great way to spend a Saturday!!

June 26 - Paul & Jenny Visit

Nora sported her first side pony with no bangs today.  And she nailed it.  (Note: In the picture on the left, I asked her to smile and that's what I got.  Like brother, like sister.)

Paul, Jenny, & Graeson came today!  They arrived at about 3:00 this afternoon.  We played outside, went to Riverwoods and the splash pad (obviously), and then ate Cafe Rio outside in our back yard.  We had a great day with them and we're happy that they came to visit!

June 25 - Running Errands

Haze looked so grown up & handsome in one of his new birthday outfits today!  (Thanks, Shennie!)

While we were grocery shopping today, Haze stayed in the cart.  I asked him if he wanted to get out many, many times.  But he kept telling me, "No, Mom.  I am stacking this to make my food house.  I am in my food house."

On our way home from shopping, we stopped & got snow cones.  This is one of Nora's favorite Summertime activities.  She loves her some snow cones.  So does her big sister!

After we got everything put away, we splurged for an entire movie this afternoon.  Andlie & Hazey picked "Home Alone," and it was totally worth watching it in the middle of the Summer to watch these two laugh at the little kid getting the bad guys.

To finish off our day, we went to Seven Peaks.  Again.  It's our third time this week.  We love Seven Peaks.  I think it's so neat that we're at a water park in the middle of the mountainous dessert.  It's beautiful.  We are blessed.
This picture was taken from the parking lot.  It's the same view you have when you're sitting in the Wave Pool at Seven Peaks.

June 24 - Birthday Pictures

I got a new hair do last night!  It's still kind of shocking, but I can tell I'm gonna love it.  (And Bryan already does so, bonus!!)

This afternoon, Andlie played with her new "Frozen" nails!  She was pretty fancy.  (And she was a pretty good "clawer" who ran around torturing Haze by saying, "I'm gonna claw you!!!")

Then she made her very own computer.  Note that she was sure to include YouTube in her computer.  Top left: "You Toob."

Tonight, little spaghetti face hung out looking cute as ever in her outside chairs.  (She's claimed all three as her own.)

But the most important thing that happened today is that I took some birthday pictures of Hazey!  I can't believe he's 4!  He's so tall.  And handsome.  And perfect.

These girls are pretty perfect too.  What cute babies we have.
