May 31 - Day of Rest

Before Grama & Grampa left today, we had to celebrate Grampa's birthday!  So we pulled out our surprise cheesecake and sang to him!

After they left, we headed outside.  Nora & Hazey are pretty cute little buddies.

Nora.  This pic shows so much of her cute little personality.
1. She LOVES sidewalk chalk.  It's the first "toy" she goes for when we go outside.  Outside - head to the garage & get the chalk.  She is always holding many chalks if we're outside.  No exceptions.
2. She loves to wear Andlie's clothes.  Underwear, swimsuits, shoes, jammies, you name it.  If it's Andlie's, she wants it on her body.  (See Andlie's jammie top over her shirt.)
3. The bike trailer is her new outdoor sitting spot.  But not without her beloved chalk.
4. She smiles every time I take my phone out now.

May 30 - Visitors

Our lifer friends came to stay with us last night!  Jon & Becca & gang came to play at our house last night and then had a sleepover!  Of course, we had to document with some pictures.  One serious and one silly.  Tradition.  We love the Wrights.

Also last night, Grama & Grampa Puppy stopped by for dinner and then came over today right as the Wrights left!  Grampa Puppy took a couple of fun shots of us playing outside.

Haze is total boy.  And I love it so much.

After lunch with Grama & Grampa, we headed to Heber to ride the train!  It was such a beautiful ride and we had so much fun!

May 29 - Summer Party

Today was the last day of school for everyone besides Kindergarteners.  What else do you do for the first day of Summer except have a giant party?!

I, along with several other Moms in the neighborhood, organized a fun party for the day!  We rented two bounce houses, got the Slip 'n Slide out, and had a treat table full of popcorn, popsicles, cookies, and nachos!  All.  Day.  Long.  We played outside in the sunshine with friends from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm!  It was such a fun way to welcome Summer!

I am thankful for good friends.  My kids have good kids around to play with.  And I have the most wonderful, fun, happy Mom friends.  I love it.

May 28 - Dance Festival

Even though yesterday was the official last day of school for Kindergarteners, today was the Dance Festival at the school.  Every grade performs one dance routine.  Andlie's class performed, "The Beach Song," so she was supposed to wear beach wear.  She chose her swimsuit top and some flip flops.  And then she wore a jacket because it was overcast, cold, and rainy.

Daddy stayed home from work until after the show so he could see her perform.  She did so great!  She was smiling and giggling and shaking her booty and doggy paddling and it was so much fun to watch her having fun with her class.

Ever since the temple open house, Haze has been guiding us around our house by holding his arm & hand out and holding it the direction we need to go.  Just like the temple workers.  It's the best.

May 27 - Last Day

Nora jumped in the bike trailer this morning while we were outside playing.  And she just kept sitting there.  And then Haze followed.  So I gave them what the obviously wanted and we went for a bike ride around the block!

But before that, we took some pictures of Andlie before her last day of Kindergarten!!!

Mrs. Sell & Andlie

Just in case you need a refresher, see the pics of her FIRST day below.  Her hair is longer.  Her teeth are missing.  She has new glasses.  But most of all, she has more confidence and a bigger smile!  Yay for graduating Kindergarten!

To celebrate Andlie's good grades (again) and her graduation from Kindergarten, we got some ice cream tonight!  Everyone always loves ice cream!

Andlie doodled on the wall while we ate our ice cream.  I love that she doodles the names of our happy family.  Haze is always saying, "Mom is my friend.  And Daddy's my friend.  And Andlie.  And Nora.  We're all friends.  I'm you alls friend!"  I love that my kids feel loved and happy to be part of this wonderful family.

May 26 - Field Day & Carnival

Hazey man looked so handsome in his "Captain America shirt" and his red shoes.  He always looks handsome.  He's a sweet, sweet, happy boy.

Today was the last time that I helped in Andlie's Kindergarten class.  We had Field Day and had lots of outdoor games planned, but it rained so we ended up inside.  It was still fun though!  Mrs. Sell gave me a really sweet thank you note thanking me for being a wonderful Room Mom.  And as a bonus, she gave me a gift certificate to Chick-Fil-A and some chocolate!  She has been such a wonderful teacher and a blessing to Andlie and to us!

I'm so thankful to have been able to spend so much time in her classroom this year!  What a blessing!  I'm excited to keep spending time with my babies at school.

This afternoon, Haze came in to me and said, "Mom, I wanted to fix this spot on my hair so I got it pretty wet.  And now it's fixed."  Perfect, Haze.  Perfect.

We spent lots of the afternoon getting Mrs. Sell's end of school present ready.

When Daddy got home, we walked to the school carnival where we spent two hours playing on bounce houses and slides and obstacle courses!  Andlie also got brave & got some color sprayed in her hair!  We had to leave a little bit early because it started raining, but we had so much fun while we were there!

I think the Field Day & the carnival tuckered Andlie out...

May 25 - Memorial Day Weekend

While I was sorting laundry this morning, Nora declared that she wanted to wear Andlie's underwear.  She brought them to Daddy, threw them at him, shouted his name, and stood there waiting for him to obey.  So he did.  And then she picked another pair.  After they were both on, she walked proudly around the room a couple of times and giggled.

After we did some inside chores, we headed outside!  It was such a beautiful day!

For lunch, we had some leftover corn from our BBQ last night.  We've had such a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  We went swimming at the Rec Center on Saturday.  We had a BBQ with our friends, the Millers, on Sunday.  And today we've been playing outside all day!  We sure love having Daddy around!

Daddy fixed the wheels on the bike trailer and we finished the day by going for a family bike ride and eating pizza on our front lawn.  It was a pretty fabulous weekend and a great start to SUMMER!

While we were eating on the lawn, Andlie took out her braid and Daddy noticed that it looked like bacon, so we had to snap a picture.  Her blonde highlight at the front of her face has always been one of my favorites.

May 24 - Nursery

Haze is getting more & more comfortable with Sunbeams.  He loves his friends and teachers so much.  Today he even sat in front of me instead of right next to me.  He and Sophie wanted to be close to each other, so they opted to share a chair.  Millie, Haze, and Sophie spent the rest of Sharing Time giggling and whispering/talking loudly.  At one point, Haze said, "We're all friends together!"  Made my heart happy.

During the last hour of church today Bryan had to conduct Elder's Quorum, but I was with Haze in Sunbeams.  I wasn't sure how I would control Nora while taking care of Haze so I just decided to let Nora try Nursery.  Technically, she shouldn't be in there until the first of July, but we went for it anyway.  I came back to pick her up at the end of church and was told that she did great and didn't even care that I wasn't there!  Yay!

So today marks Nora's very first time in Nursery!  Look out Nursery, here she comes!
