December 31 - New Year's Eve (Cedar City Day 2)

Did some YouTube hair on Andlie this morning.  I loved how it turned out!  And so did she!  We call it the "Mohawk braid."

Spent the day lounging around.  Daddy taught Andlie how to play checkers.  And then she became obsessed.  Watched some TV.  Played with toys.  Visited.  Hung out.

And then it was time for the girls to have birthday celebration #2!  First they opened presents from Grama & Grampa.  (Andlie already knew what was wrapped up because she went to the store with Grama earlier and picked her presents out.)

Grampa was sure to carry on birthday tradition and get her a "Frozen" necklace.  She wasn't as thrilled as he was.  But deep down she loves it and thinks it's hilarious.

Nora got a whole package full of dress ups and crowns and shoes and princess accessories.  And fell in love.

Then we headed to Granny's house for the New Year's/Birthday Party!  When we got there, I noticed Andlie's list of things she is thankful for from Thanksgiving.  Had to take a pic.

Put up some more birthday decor for my girls.  And added some number balloons this time!

Nora loved her cake again.

And so did Andlie.

Nora snuck a few bites before we sang.

And thoroughly enjoyed them.

We spent the rest of the night waiting for midnight, playing games, opening birthday/Christmas presents from Granny, making smiles out of Cheetos, eating steak, crab legs, and pizza, needing rests & lying down, and trying on prom dresses from the nieces in Granny's "wardrobe exchange" closet.

Finally got to 10:00 (EST) and watched the ball drop live in NYC.  Counted down with them and blew noise makers, pulled poppers, and shouted, "Happy New Year!"

Got super tired and sick of pictures.

But made sure to take a Goodwin family picture on New Year's Eve 2015.

We had a WONDERFUL 2015 that included: Bryan getting promoted, Chandi starting a new fitness routine, Andlie starting 1st grade, Hazey starting Preschool, Nora starting Nursery, a new car, and so much more!  We feel so blessed.  So, so wonderfully blessed.  Happy 2016!

December 30: Cedar City Day 1

We got to Cedar City around 3:00 this afternoon.  Bryan went straight to the matinee with Grampa & Bryce & Bret.  We stayed home & visited Grama and colored.

After the movie, someone in the room asked for a nest (code word for Christmas chocolate with toasted coconut).  Of course Grampa brought in his own homemade nest.  Because he thinks he is the funniest.  I definitely take after him.

Finished the night with some more coloring with Bryce and some relaxing on the couch.  (Poor Andlie threw up last night and spent a lot of the day snuggling and recovering.  After some Gatorade, a rest, and some IB Profen, she was feeling much better.)

December 29 - Panaca Day 3

In Panaca, Mommy lets you sit on her lap and steer the car when she drives.

Spent the day hanging out at Grama & Grampa's house.  Nora got some good coloring in.

And Andlie got an art lesson from Grama!  They painted a landscape.  Andlie has been wanting to have a lesson from a real artist (especially a real Grama artist) for a long time and LOVED every second.

Haze got some coloring in too.  He was pretty proud of his finished Minion!
