Woke up to fresh snow. Snowed off an on all day and even enough to put a fresh layer on our snowman that we built 3 days ago.
Andlie & Hazey woke up at 7:30 am. I called Grama & Grampa Goodwin to see if they wanted to FaceTime and watch us open presents. Of course they did!
Mommy went to get Nora while Daddy & Andlie & Hazey waited in Mommy & Daddy's room.
All in to the Living Room together.
Santa came! Tear in to presents! Each kid got a turn to open one gift and we kept rotating until everything was open. Once Nora opened her Elsa doll that sang, she was very uninterested in opening anything else. She LOVED Elsa!
After we opened everything from Santa, Andlie & Hazey let us open their gifts to us. They were homemade pictures/drawings of something each person really liked. Andlie gave Hazey a coloring book that she drew (pictures of transformers, cars, etc. included). Hazey gave Daddy a picture of him, Mommy, and Daddy. Andlie gave Daddy a homemade key chain that says, "Daddy rocks." Andlie gave Mommy a picture of many snowflakes and Nora a picture of a baby. They made and wrapped and labeled these gifts all on their own. Hugs all around. Best gifts of the day.
Play, play, play with new toys!
Andlie tried out her new roller blades! She had never been on them or skates ever. Except the baby kind that go over the shoe. She was a total pro quite quickly and was sailing back & forth in the kitchen almost immediately.
Nora quietly read several of her new princess books under the tree in her own little world.
I made us take a family picture with Christmas all over the room.
We tested Andlie's roller blades and Haze's ziggle bike outside. It was still snowing so we closed the garage and used the carport and garage to play. Nora tested her Elsa outside. It still worked. By this time, Elsa has sung "Let It Go" about 100 times.
Grama & Grampa Goodwin visit! They stop on their way to Idaho! Grampa gives us the card that he so thoughtfully labeled.
Grama & Grampa pass out presents to everyone! And get theirs in exchange.
Picture time! Duh.
Nora is sure to put her new dress from Grama & Grampa on. Immediately.
Mommy takes a picture of each kid with all of their Christmas loot.
Allen Family Christmas Picture 2015 takes place.
Nora still loves Elsa.
Andlie poses in her new boots from Mom & Dad. (For which she has said, "Thank you guys SO MUCH for these boots!" several times throughout the day.)
Daddy & Nora play a game of "Crazy Faces" with each other by the marble track.
All get tucked in to bed after family prayers Mommy & Daddy sing "Silent Night."
Favorite gifts are: Andlie: Roller blades! Haze: transformers! Nora: Elsa! Mom & Dad: cargo case for the car!
What a joyful Christmas Day spent with the ones we love most dearly. Thankful hearts full of love & happiness. Merry Christmas!
