June 12 - Flag Day

Today we went to Daddy's work to watch the flag ceremony.  His office complex does it every year for Flag Day.  The flag is giant and beautiful!  There's music, food, and a quick speaker.  The kids had fun waving their little flags and watching the big flag go up the pole!

Tonight I did Andlie's post-Kindergarten interview.  I had her write her name for it.  She's a pretty good little writer nowdays.

Nora's favorite things in the entire world right now are babies.  Any kind.  She loves to carry around as many as she can fit in her arms.  She totes them around while patting their heads and occasionally lies them down and tells them, "Shhhhh," and then gives them her blankie and says, "Shhhhh," again.  And, my favorite, sometimes she sways her little body (mostly elbows) back and forth and says, "Rocka, rocka."  Today Daddy laid all of her babies that she was holding on the floor.  Then she wanted to lie down by them so she did.  And Daddy captured it.  (Note: In this picture, she is pointing to her "pretty" and telling us that it is her "pitty."  All hair = pretty.  If you ask where her hair is, she won't know what you're talking about.  Ask where her pretty is.)

For our final activity of the evening, we hit up the carny!  I put all of my care for basic hygiene aside and we went to the carnival.  Andlie & Haze had a great time together!  They laughed & giggled on every ride they went on!  It was fun to watch!  Their favorite was the roller coaster!  That was Nora's favorite too!  She squealed with delight every time they came around.
