Hazey gave the scripture (Moroni 10:5) and prayer today in Primary - his first time talking in the Primary microphone! I helped him with the scripture. I whispered the words to him and he said them nice & loud in the microphone and with a giant smile on his face and his little hand grabbing on to it. Then he said the prayer all by himself! He did such a great job and was pretty proud of himself. Daddy came to watch and when he was done, he jumped off the stool behind the mic and ran to Daddy to give him a hug.
He was aslo spotlighted in Primary today for his birthday!

Sister Dodds called him & Emmy up since they both have birthdays this week. Emmy was first, but Haze just couldn't contain his excietement and kept piping in on her spotlight. Sister Dodds would say, "Emmy's favorite dessert is ice cream," and Haze would say, "My favorite treat is chocolate ice cream!" He was pretty excited to be up there. Then we sang a birthday song and Haze got a treat which made him more proud to be up there. It was a fun Sunday to be in Primary.

Today in class, Haze got to be King Saul! What a fun class he has!

Since we won't be here for real Father's Day, we had a surprise Father's Day today! While Daddy was at his meetings, we got ready. We got his presents out, cleaned up, got his cards out, and put some signs on the door! He was so surprised when he got home!
"God bless you, dear fathers. May He bless you with wisdom and judgement, with understanding, with self-discipline and self-control, with faith and kindness and love. And may He bless the sons and daughters who have come into your homes, that yours may be a fortifying, strengthening, guiding hand as they walk the treacherous path of life."
-President Gordon B. Hinckley
Bryan has every quality listed. He's the best Daddy to our babies and I feel lucky to have him by my side. Our kids are truly blessed to call him their Daddy.
For Father's Day, Bryan got: a new shirt, some tennis shoes, some new socks, and a homemade card from each of the kids. Andlie drew him a picture of him & her playing tennis and then wrote, "You rock tennis!" along with a few other cute things. Haze wanted me to print him a tennis picture to color. And Nora colored a couple of pink scribbles. I also interviewed Haze & Andlie about Daddy. Here are some of my favorites from that.
Andlie
Why do you love your Dad?
Because he lets us watch one more movie when Mom is gone.
How much does Daddy weigh?
Hmmm, let me guess. 40.
Haze
How are you and Daddy the same?
Um, we're buddies and we play each other.
What does Daddy do at work?
Um, he kind of knows where his friends are working on computers.
We sure love our Daddy! Happy Surprise Father's Day!
