This week is at school, Andlie gets to be the Super Surfer (AKA Star of the Week)! We worked on her posted last week and have been putting finishing touches on it since. Andlie's specific requirements were: pink poster, glitter name, a pierced ears picture, a soccer picture, some original art work, and some seashells from Bear Lake.

Since it is Halloween week, we put pictures of her every year in her Halloween costume and a big question mark for this year. (She also requested that and then giggled. She was excited to keep her costume this year a secret.) We filled the rest of the poster with pictures of what she did last Summer.
She was SO EXCITED to take it to school with her this morning!
After school, we went shopping for some Halloween costume accessories. Upon seeing a bin full of dress-ups, Nora immediately requested a skirt and a hat.
We spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out at home. Boys will be boys.....
After a rousing game of Uno, we buried Andlie in the cards. She thought it was pretty hilarious.
Tonight's FHE was something exciting! Pumpkin carving/painting! First we got in our paint shirts. Nora was so happy to be part of the action this year.
Then we painted and carved! I took the pictures of the kids at about the same time. You will notice that Andlie is taking her time & planning her work out. That's my girl.
All done!
Daddy carved a spooky ghost.
Mommy painted black & white stripes and added a bow.
Andlie painted Frankenstein with glasses.
Haze painted Bumblebee the Transformer.
Nora colored with markers & painted with pink and then got her hand traced.
Haze & Andlie each pulled the guts out of one of the small pumpkins and carved them with Daddy's help.
And then we created our very own pumpkin patch on our very own front porch. Happy Halloween!
