Daddy went to Dallax, TX this week for GPS (his annual big conference at work). So me & the kids packed up and headed to Cedar City! Utah is beautiful! I accidentally/on purpose took a couple shots of how pretty the drive down south was.
The kids did really well on the drive! We only made one pee stop and Haze only got nervous a couple times. And guess who made it the whole way in unders and came out dry when we arrived at Grama's house?! Haze!!!
First things first - Grama's back yard! We played outside and ate popsicles and visited outside for a while.
And then we headed to SUU where we played in the fountain...
...and played on the stage of the Adam's Theater! First the kids put on a show for us and sang, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and then me & Mandy wanted in on the action so we hit the stage too! (All while totally ignoring the "Please don't play on the stage" sign...)
Of course, while we were there, we had to go to the Dragon's Lair! Me & Mandy went to the Dragon's Lair when we were little! If you listen close, you can hear the dragon breathing inside (or the furnace blowing - whatevs). And if you're brave enough, you go down the stairs and knock on his door and then run your butt up the stairs so he doesn't chomp you! Andlie & Mandy were the only brave ones. Haze & Daisey were not too thrilled about the whole thing.
Next we headed home and got dressed up for dinner with a Seventy. This weekend is Grampa's stake's stake conference! And what do you think comes after dinner in our Sunday clothes? Pictures with Grama & Grampa, of course!
Grampa gave a wonderful talk on families and building a safe, happy harbor at home and with our families in this crazy world! He also conducted and did a fabulous job! Favorite one liner of his: "We will begin this meeting by singing, 'High on a Mountain Top.' Actually, we will just stay here and sing it."
While the adults & Hazey stayed at the adult session of Stake Conference to hear Grampa speak, Andlie, Nora, & Daisey went with Shennie & Mindy where they ate treats, played, and went to Discovery Park!
After the meeting, we joined everyone at the park & played hide & seek for a while. Can you spot the kids?
And then we headed back to Grama's and went to bed! Full, fun day!
