On our last day of Summer, we:
Went & got pizza for the last day of Summer lunch picnic!
Had a lunch picnic outside with the Millers!
Got our van fixed! (The gas door broke off the hinge.) We are so happy to have a working door again!
Went to the Meet & Greet at Andlie's school & met her 1st grade teacher, Miss Carter! We saw her classroom & visited with Miss Carter for a minute. We noticed that Andlie has 3 kids from her Kindergarten class and 1 kid from her Primary class in her 1st grade class! Yay!
Played & played & played with Isaac! (While me & Katie [Isaac's Mom] mourned the end of Summer.)
Ate dinner.
Introduced our 2015-2016 family theme: Be kind. You are SPECIAL. Do your best.
Highlight: Everyone got a Father's Blessing from Daddy. They were all special and personal and brought a wonderful, happy spirit in to our home. Even the kids could feel the happiness and calmness in our home. What a special thing. Even Nora sat in the chair & folded her arms & squished her eyes shut for her blessing. And when everyone had had their turn, Hazey asked for another blessing. We could all feel how special they were.
Painted Andlie's nails like watermelon at her request!
Went on the last family bike ride of Summer! This has been a fun activity this Summer!
Got in our jammers and went to bed! (After a few songs by Mom & Dad and prayers.)
Nora showed off her new owl jammies!
