September 15 - Fun With Cousins (And Sisters)

We had SO MUCH FUN with Daisey, Liam, and Mandy today!
Started things off by playing "train."  Daisey & Haze lined up all three kids chairs outside and boarded their train and "drove around."
Then we played a game of "Santa" where Mandy played the part of Santa and the slide played the part of the Christmas tree.  Haze was so thrilled to sit on Santa's lap.  He could barely contain himself.

Crazy face picture for Grama on our way downstairs to play!

Then we played dress up downstairs.  Nora wanted her "dess" so we put it on and then she needed a crown to match Daisey's.
Presenting Her Royal Highness, Princess Nora:

Daisey taught Nora how to be a little princess and apply chapstick.

After a rousing game of "Jump and Splash in the Puddles and Get All Wet From Head to Toe," we came inside and got dry clothes on for preschool!

While Andlie & Hazey were at school, the rest of us took a trip to the mall!  Nora & Daisey had fun counting the Daiseys & Noras in the mirrors.

This afternoon, we were all a bit tired.  Once we found Daisey in Andlie & Haze's room sad.  She told us that she was sad because "none of her cousins were loving to play with her."  And then when I asked if they wanted to watch TV and told them we had to agree on something, Haze got super sad because "Daisey only likes to watch really beautiful shows."  (Giggle, giggle.)

Luckily, Andlie came to the rescue and hung out with Daisey for a while while Haze watched some non-beautiful shows downstairs.

All afternoon today, Mandy took all the kids to go on special errands.  They were doing a bit of secret birthday preparation.  Andlie thought of a great idea to hide it and told me, "Mom, my friend has really been wanting a cake at school so we need to make this cake."  And, "My friend has been wanting presents and cards."  Et cetera.  She had fun having a secret and I had fun watching her have a secret.  Hazed caved after a while and showed me the frosting he hid under his bed.  He said, "Mandy told me I can't tell you but I really, really wanted to."
Raise your hand if you're so thankful for such a wonderful, thoughtful sister?  Meeeeee!!!!  (Raises hand.)
