April 16 - Sidewalk Chalk

Andlie's bike got stolen from the school on Monday (April 13).  We were so sad (and mad)!  However, long-legged Andlie has been needing a bigger bike for a while now, so now was a great time to go get one!  We bought one at Wal-Mart last night.  On our way out of the store, she told Daddy (while she held his hand), "Thank you for buying me a new bike."  Worth every single penny.

She woke up & went right outside to ride it!  She started in her jammies with shorts, but came inside & changed to jammie pants & added some gloves since the sun was barely even up!  She giggled as she rode it up & down & up & down the street.  It was fun to watch her hair blowing in the wind & listen to her little giggle.  It was a great way to start the day!

After she rode her bike for a while, it was time to come inside & get ready for Spring school picture day!  She is beautiful. Inside and out.  I'm so proud and lucky to be her Mommy.

After school, we got the sidewalk chalk out.  I traced the kids and then let them "decorate" their guys.  First thing Haze did was draw a face and some hair on his.  The circle below the two eyes is the nose - notice it has two lines/holes in it.  And then the mouth is about where the heart goes.  Something worth remembering: After Haze finished the shirt, he said, "Now this is where his privates are!"  And then proceeded to draw a big ol' circle right where the private parts go.

After we finished, Andlie laid down in her drawing to see if it was as big as her.  When she stood up, she had a pink bum!
