October 17 - Idaho: Day 3

Tim worked last night so he slept today and Mandy worked today.  Me & Bryan were on our own with FIVE kids.  First up: Try on some "pitty" heart glasses and walk around like you've been a runway model for several years.

After we got all dressed, we headed to the park where Nora rode on a big kid swing all by herself for the first time!

Just swinging with the girls...

Haze took Liam on the slide a few times because "he's a boy and Liam is his boy cousin."

Daisey taught Nora how to "hide from Captain Hook."

After the park, we came home and dumped lunch on our heads ate lunch.

After the babies went down for naps, we did some more crafting.  Today, we made puppets of our families.  Andlie made (L to R): Daddy, Mommy, Andlie, Hazey, and Nora.  Notice that Daddy's shirt says, "tennis," Haze's shirt has cars on it, and everyone is in the exact outfits that we are wearing today.  She would go look at everyone's outfits before coloring their puppet.

Then we frosted some sugar cookies!

After dinner, Daisey wanted to "watch the sun go down," so we set up some chairs in the back yard.

And then we played dance class.

And Nora found another "pitty dess" and a blow dryer which she carried around for the remainder of the day.  She kept saying, "Do-eeng hair.  Pitty."  See?  Mandy's house is practically her dream home.

Another great day today!  We've been having so much fun with cousins.  We sure love Idaho!

October 16 - Idaho: Day 2

We love Mandy's house.  And her yard.  Our kids LOVED being able to just go out back and play.  Especially on the magic swing.  This morning, Andlie & Daisey played on the swing in their jammies.

Mandy also has some pretty awesome toys.

Today, we went to Pizza Pie Cafe for lunch.  But not before a picture of all the Goodwin grandkids!

After lunch, we went to the coolest park we've ever been to!  It had so many fun things and I think the kids would have stayed there for the rest of the day if they could have.

While the babies were napping, the big kids did some crafting.  We made shape/paint/glitter pumpkins!   Haze made truck eyes, a marker nose, and a mean mouth.  Andlie made triangle eyes, a carrot nose, and a jack-o-lantern mouth.  Daisey made star eyes, a rainbow nose, and a heart mouth.  Beautiful.

Nora would probably choose Mandy's house over our own because there are lots of "pitty desses" and lots of "dance dance" (AKA little dolls) and lots of babies and lots of "cowns."  She was in heaven.

Tim had to work tonight, which was a bummer.  The rest of us headed to the pumpkin patch!

We went on a hay/tractor ride.
We fed some goats & lambs.
We saw lots of other animals.
We went on the BIG slides (a million times - all the kids LOVED them).
We raced our rubber duckies in the water trough.
We got lost in a giant maze.  Really though.  We all got a bit panicky at the end of our maze journey until we saw the light.

We literally entered the maze at the top, made it to the letters, and turned around and it took us at least half hour.

We had such a happy day in Idaho today!

October 15 - Idaho: Day 1

Today was Andlie's first day of Fall Break!  So naturally, she spent the morning in bed snuggling with/talking to Daddy.  They started getting quite rambunctious in there so I texted them from the living room where I was watching cartoons with Haze to keep it quiet so Nora wouldn't wake up.  This is the response I got back.

Daddy spent the morning at work and we spent the morning packing for Idaho!!  When Daddy got home at 1:00, we hit the road!  Nora was the only child who didn't fall asleep within half hour.

When we got there one hundred 4 1/2 hours later, we went to the park to stretch our legs, ate some delicious dinner, and watched movies in our jammies.  We're so happy to be here!

October 14 - Mornings

Every morning after Andlie is all ready for school, we go back to my bed for snuggles & visits before school while Daddy is finishing getting ready.  I love her so much.  I love her cute little head nuzzled in to my chest and her cracky morning voice telling me about  her school day and her friends.  There's something special about being in a quiet house with my baby girl snuggling with me.  Just me & her.

After Daddy & Andlie leave, the other two get up and the house wakes up!  Today these two watched some "Daniel Tiger" and I had to snap a picture of their cute, tiny jammie/diaper bums.

Hazey turned in to a witch while he was at school today!

And Andlie turned in to a ninja after school!  (Halloween costume preview.)  And Nora turned in to a darling little copy-cat ninja!
